KALYNA COUNTRY ...
"Kalyna" is the Slavic or Ukrainian term for the highbush cranberry or guelder rose, which flourishes in the East Central Alberta countryside. The ripe berries make delicious jams, jellies, syrups and butters. "Kalyna" is also Maria's mother's name!
